History of Ltd “Farmaks”
Today Ltd “Farmaks” is one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the Kirov Region for the production of veterinary drugs. The enterprise produces over 100 types of veterinary preparations in various forms: solid, soft, and liquid.
There are over 200 employees. For their high professionalism and long-term dedicated work, many employees were awarded Letters of Thanks and diplomas from the Government of the Kirov Region and the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Kirov Region.
Ltd “Farmaks” is confident in the future. As part of its strategic development, a planned modernization of production lines is underway, technologies are being improved, the range and volume of products are increasing, and compliance with world quality standards is ensured.
2024
- the design of the packaging of the vitamin and mineral complex “Farmavit Active” has been updated — the design has become more modern and attractive, and the color of the can and lid has been changed to a pleasant white;
- new items have been added to the line of vitamin and mineral complexes “Vit-Active” in a convenient tablet form — “Vit-Active for pregnant and lactating cats” , “Vit-Active for pregnant and lactating dogs” , “Vit-Active for cats over 7 years old” , “Vit-Active for dogs over 7 years old” , “Vit-Active Chondro for dogs and cats” ;
- Ltd “Farmaks” has extended the validity of its certificate of conformity with the GMP standard, which confirms the professionalism of the company and the high quality and safety of its products;
- Ltd “Farmaks” products have been labeled in the “Honest Sign” system. “Honest Sign” makes it possible to effectively track and verify each unit of goods. The introduction of labeling allows us to guarantee the quality and authenticity of the products.
2023
- Ltd “Farmaks” took first place in the “Exporter of the Year in the Agro-Industrial Complex” category in the Kirov Region;
- the packaging design of “Farmavit Neo” vitamin and mineral complexes has been updated — the design style has become brighter, more attractive, and more modern, and information about the properties of the supplement has become more noticeable and easier to understand. The packaging update is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the “Farmavit Neo” trademark;
- the range of pet care products has been expanded. The “Come Along to Walk!” shampoo line is now available in a new mini-pack — a 60 ml bottle;
- a new item has been added to the line of vitamin and mineral complexes “Vit-Active” — BrewersPlus Brewer’s yeast for cats and dogs in a convenient tablet form.
2022
- the range of daily care products for farm animals has been expanded. The “Zorka” line of creams with extracts is available in convenient packaging — a 200 ml tube;
- the packaging design of the hygiene product “Tonic and Regenerative Milk” has been changed. The product is available in a new 250 ml bottle with a disc-top lid and a new label;
- the packaging design has been updated, and the range of “Come Along to Walk!” pet care products has been expanded: a shampoo for washing paws, “Come Along to Walk!” , with a convenient pump dispenser, has been launched.
2021
- start of production of the vitamin and mineral complex “Vit-Active” . The unique formula of the complex is enhanced with phytonutrients: natural antioxidants and natural prebiotics;
- the range of products for farm animals has been expanded. New trademarks: “Cooling and Heating Agent” , “Tonic and Recovery Milk” , “Kubavet D” .
2020
- Ltd “Farmaks” has certified its quality management system in accordance with the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001:2015 and updated its safety management system in accordance with the requirements of the updated version of GOST R ISO 22000-2019;
- Ltd “Farmaks” has received a conclusion on the compliance of production with the requirements of the international GMP standard. This is further proof of the quality of the company's products and the safety and efficiency of its production processes.
2019
- establishment of the Trading House “Farmaks” — an official sales representative of Ltd “Farmaks” . The main goal and mission of the trading house is to provide consumers with high-quality, natural, and affordable pet products;
- Ltd “Farmaks” is one of the first companies among manufacturers of feed additives for pets and farm animals to receive a food safety management system certificate GOST R ISO 22000-2007 (compliant with the international standard ISO 22000:2005).
2018
- start of manufacturing of vitamin-enriched treats “Omega Neo+” for cats, dogs, domestic rodents, and decorative birds. The treats contain a complex of biologically active substances unique to the Russian market — a chondroprotector (glucosamine) and omega-3 fatty acids;
- start of the use of nitrogen packaging technology. Creating a nitrogen environment prevents the oxidation of product components, which allows it to maintain its beneficial properties and taste for a longer period of time.
2017
- start of manufacturing of functional feed “Zoocomfort” to control unpleasant odors from cats, dogs, ferrets, and rodents;
- development and manufacturing of vitamin-enriched treats “Village Treats Vita” for cats and dogs under an order from the “Adresnik” company.
2016
- completion of the additional finished products storage with a total area of 450 m2;
- development and production, by order of the Italian company FARMINA , of the feed additive “Vit-Active” for cats and dogs for further active promotion to the markets of the Asia-Pacific region and Europe;
- start of production of the feed additive “Farmavit Active” — the first domestic vitamin and mineral complex with fruit enzymes.
2015
- according to the results of the conclusion of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, the Center for Standardization and Metrology, and surveys of market experts and customers, Ltd “Farmaks” was awarded the “Consumer Confidence Certificate” .
2014
- introduction to the market of a new-generation feed supplement used for the normalization of the intestinal microflora of dogs and cats — the “Evitalia-Vet” synbiotic. The additive was developed by the “Probiotika” company together with Ltd “Farmaks” .
2013
- Ltd “Farmaks” was awarded a Letter of Thanks from the Government of the Kirov Region (by order of the Government of the Kirov Region dated May 6, 2013) for its contribution to the development of the economy of the Kirov Region and active work on the creation of new technologies for the production of reliable and effective veterinary medicinal products;
- purchase of a land property for the construction of an industrial site in accordance with the GMP standard. The total area of the site is about 4 hectares.
2012
- start of production of the first Russian anti-mastitis drug for external use, “Intrasan” ;
- start of production of a safe and effective product, “Zorka Soft Protection” , based on chlorhexidine for the treatment of the teats of dairy animals’ udders after milking. From 2012 to 2016, the product line was expanded with the introduction of new items: “Zorka Active Protection” based on iodine for the treatment of udder teats AFTER milking, and “Zorka Purity Index” — a product for treating the udder before milking.
2009
- start of production of the protective wax “Come Along to Walk!” for dogs’ paws. From 2009 to 2016, the range of goods under the “Come Along to Walk!” trademark was expanded. Today, the range of goods under the “Come Along to Walk!” trademark includes: protective wax, nourishing cream, soaps in solid and liquid forms, wet wipes, hygiene shampoos, and bags for walking dogs, as well as a conditioning balm.
2008
- start of production of the drug “Gempotin” — a unique drug with a wide spectrum of action based on an extract of black poplar buds.
2007
- start of production of the natural biologically active additive “Biocorrector RD” . The additive addresses in a complex way the problems of the gastrointestinal tract, skin, and allergies in cats and dogs.
2006
- conclusion of a distribution agreement with “NVP Astrafarm” Ltd and “NPK SkiFF” Ltd, which produce:
- bihormonal contraceptive preparations ( “Sex Barrier” , “ContrSex Neo” , “Gestrenol” );
- antiparasitic and insectoacaricidal drugs ( “BlochNet max” , “Prazitel” , “Vermidin” , “IN-AP complex” ).
2001 –
2002
- establishment of the Trading House “Astrafarm” . Trading House “Astrafarm” is a trade representative of Ltd “Farmaks” , the research and production company “SKiFF” , and the research and innovation enterprise “Astrafarm” .
2001
- start of production of the multivitamin treat “Omega Neo” for cats, dogs, birds, and rodents. “Omega Neo” is the first and only domestic treat containing essential fatty acids of the Omega-3 class.
2000
- an agreement was concluded with the French company Ceva Sante Animal for the contract production of the vitamin and mineral supplement “Seva-useful pleasure” .
1999
- an agreement was concluded with the company “Zolotaya Rybka” (St. Petersburg) for the contract production of the multivitamin treat “Doctor Zoo” .
1998
- start of export shipments of veterinary drugs to the Republic of Belarus. Starting from 2002, the products of Ltd “Farmaks” have been shipped to the countries of the Customs Union and Russia's neighboring states (Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Georgia, Latvia, Tajikistan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Armenia).
1997
- start of production of the vitamin and mineral complex “Farmavit Neo” for cats and dogs, birds, and rodents in the form of tablets and granules.
1996
- moving to our own 6-story building. The total area of the building is 6,830 m². Production laboratories, a research laboratory, quality service laboratories, warehouses, support services, and administrative and managerial staff were housed in the new building.
1995
- start of production of “Zorka” cream with floralizine . The developer of the substance floralizine is a full member of the International Academy of Scientific Discoveries and Inventions, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor L.M. Bragintseva. Ltd “Farmaks” is the only company in Russia and in the world that produces “Zorka” cream with floralizine .
1994
- start of production of “Biogel 5” for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases and “Biogel 10” for the prevention and treatment of obstetric and gynecological disorders. For their high quality and efficiency, the products were awarded the Platinum Quality Mark of the 21st Century by the Russian State Standard.
1992
- start of production of the first domestic multivitamin product “Vitokarnivor” (later “Farmavit Neo” ) for domestic and farm animals. According to experts, the “Farmavit Neo” vitamin and mineral complex is one of the most famous vitamin complexes on the animal vitamins market.
- start of production of the drug “Denatured Emulsified Placenta” (PDE) — a unique tissue product made from a healthy human placenta. It is produced using patented technology. For its high quality and efficiency over many years, PDE has been awarded Gold and Platinum Quality Marks by the State Standard of Russia.
1991
- establishment of Ltd “Farmaks” .
